Filipino Food in the Spotlight in Beijing
PHOTO: The Philippine Embassy in Beijing, in partnership with Hilton Beijing, organized a nine-day Philippine Food Festival from 07 to 15 June 2019.
The Embassy kicked off the Philippine Food Festival with a night of festivities, showcasing Filipino music, dance, and food, during an Opening Ceremony held on 06 June 2019. During the opening ceremony, Ambassador to China Jose Santiago L. Sta. Romana highlighted how food in the Philippines is steeped in history and is a colorful mix of various cultural influences from different regions, all fused into one distinct, flavorful Filipino taste.
A successful and popular event for the second consecutive year, the Philippine Food Festival featured three Filipino chefs from Conrad Manila--Armando Marca IV, Aaron Valeroso, and Joseph Ledesma.
