New PH Ambassador Presents Credentials to Indian President
PHOTO: Ambassador to India Ramon A. Bagatsing Jr. (right, in barong) presented his credentials to Indian President Ram Nath Kovind in a ceremony on 25 June 2019 at the Ashoka Hall of the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
During the ceremony, Ambassador Bagatsing was accompanied by Deputy Chief of Mission Arvin R. de Leon, Third Secretaries and Vice Consuls Charles Lawrence L. Ching and Atty. John Boitte C. Santos, Finance Officer Tomas A. Valerio Jr., Protocol Officer Edwin Juan A. Batallones, and Cultural Officer Marra Kristine D. Ty.
After the ceremony, Ambassador Bagatsing paid a courtesy call on President Kovind where the Ambassador conveyed the Philippines’ greetings and discussed ways to enhance the bilateral relations of the two countries through trade, tourism and people-to-people links, as well as the proposed visit of the President to the Philippines and the celebration this year of the 70th anniversary of Philippines-India bilateral relations.
