PH Embassy in Manama Commemorates Jose Rizal’s 158th Birth Anniv

MANAMA 03 July 2019 — The Philippine Embassy in Manama, in cooperation with the Order of the Knights of Rizal (OKOR)-Bahrain, commemorated the 158th Birth Anniversary of Philippine national hero Dr. Jose P. Rizal with a Wreath-laying Ceremony at the Embassy’s Sentro Rizal on 19 June 2019.

The Wreath-laying Ceremony was led by Ambassador tp Bahrain Alfonso A. Ver, Chapter Commander Sir Rene Caseda and the other members of the Knights of Rizal.  Sir Lito Bugarin, one of the pioneers of OKOR-Bahrain, gave a brief narration of the important milestones of the life of Dr. Rizal.

Ambassador Ver gave his inspirational message to the OKOR-Bahrain and the rest of the attendees, encouraging everyone to aspire to be able to do something significant in their lifetimes just as Dr. Rizal who, however short his life was, ensured that his works made significant contributions not only for Filipinos but for all mankind as well.  END
