PH Embassy in Tehran Hosts Coffee Morning, Lunch for ASEAN Ladies Circle

PHOTO: The Philippine Embassy in Tehran hosted the Coffee Morning and Lunch of the ASEAN Ladies Circle (ALC) on 04 July 2019 at Niloo Hotel in Tehran.

Around 40 guests from the Embassies of Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam attended the event which marked the official turnover of the governance of the ALC from Philippines to Vietnam. Vietnam will act as a chair of the ALC for a period of one year.

Certificates of Recognition were likewise given to the ALC committee members who served under the leadership of the Philippines for the past year.

A presentation on how to make puto (Filipino steamed rice cake) highlighted the event. The spouses of the ASEAN ambassadors and other ALC members actively participated in this activity.

The Coffee Morning and Lunch is a bi-monthly gathering and activity of the ASEAN Ladies Circle of Tehran composed of the spouses of the Ambassadors of Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam as well as female officers and diplomatic staff of the ASEAN Embassies to Iran.
