The Philippine Madrigal Singers Conducts Workshops in Jakarta
The Philippine Madrigal Singers (Madz) headed by its choirmaster Mark Anthony A. Carpio conducted a Workshop on Music at the Philippine Embassy in Jakarta attended by Filipino and Indonesian choir members, singers, and Music teachers.

During the workshop, Mr. Carpio gave a brief introduction on the Madz's beginning and origin. He gave some points and techniques on proper breathing for singing and taught the participants the choir blending of some Filipino folk songs such as "Sa Ugoy ng Duyan", "Jack and Poy" "Hale Hale Hoy", and "Sampung Mga Daliri". London School of Public Relations (LSPR) student choir members also enjoyed the workshop conducted in their school by Mr. Carpio and Madz members who taught breathing techniques and gave pointers through a sample of songs such as “Meraih Bintang,” an Indonesian song, and “O Naraniag a Bulan,” an Ilocano folksong. In turn, the LSPR students sang “Twa Tan Bou,” a South African song, for the Madz. (Jakarta PE photo)
