Toronto-based Philippine College and Universities Alumni Associations (PCUAA), an umbrella organization of different alumni associations representing colleges and universities from Philippines, kick-started the summer for the Filipino community with its annual picnic and Summerfest on 7 July 2019 at the Mississauga Valley Community Park.

Philippine Consulate General in Toronto Deputy Consul General Bernadette Therese C. Fernandez (pictured above holding the microphone) congratulated PCUAA for “once again coming together as a community of colleges and universities-united in reminiscing excellent education in the Philippines and happily re-enacting active participation in sports when we were still in university.”

“Let us embrace the outdoors, let us feel the warmth of the air and come together as a community to play, eat and reflect upon life in general,” she added. (Toronto PCG photo)
