PH Consulate General in Macau Co-Sponsors Financial Literacy Seminar
PHOTO: A total of 25 members from the Filipino community attended the Financial Literacy Seminar facilitated by Social Enterprise Development Partnerships (SEDPI) President and Chief Executive Officer Mariel Vincent A. Rapisura on 13 July 2019 at the Philippine Consulate General in Macau.
Mr. Rapisura stressed the basic principles of financial literacy: building an emergency savings equivalent to six months salary or nine months expenses; securing insurance, investments, among others. Information Officers of the Social Security System and Pag-IBIG also discussed investment options under their respective institutions.
The Consulate General, the Philippine Overseas Labor Office, the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, the Ateneo Leadership and Social Entrepreneurship (ALSE) of Life, the ALSE Macau Alumni, WelAnser Centre with Fundação Macau sponsored the event.
