BRUSSELS 23 July 2019 — The Philippine Embassy in Brussels, in cooperation with Honorary Consul General to Luxembourg Alain Kinsch, conducted its second consular outreach mission on 06 July 2019 in the Grand Duchy, Luxembourg.

Embassy Consul Charles Andrei P. Macaspac led the consular outreach team and officiated the oath-taking ceremony for two dual-citizenship applicants. The Embassy catered 42 Filipinos living in Luxembourg and in the nearby provinces of Saarland and Rheinland Pfalz in Germany for their passport renewals, legalization of documents, application for reacquisition of Philippine citizenship, civil registration, National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) fingerprinting, and other consular inquiries.

A total of 13 passports, one NBI fingerprinting form, and two legalized documents were also released to Filipino applicants who earlier came to Brussels for the said services.

Labor Attaché Delmer Cruz spoke on Philippine Overseas Labor Offices (POLO) in Geneva’s various amenities as well as on the membership benefits of the Overseas Workers’ Welfare Administration (OWWA), who also distributed and processed OWWA membership registration forms.

Cultural Officer and Alternate Gender and Development (GAD) Focal Person Liza Jane Estalilla chaired the consultation meeting on the establishment of the Women Helping Women Network (WHW Network) in Luxembourg, to gauge the community’s interest in creating a viable network that would bring together stakeholders and advocates of women’s rights and gender equality for a timely and gender-sensitive intervention on various concerns of Filipinos in Luxembourg.
