U.S. Immigration, Customs Enforcement Hosts Consulate Appreciation Luncheon

The Philippine Consulate General in Los Angeles and  the Philippine Honorary Consulate in San Diego attended the Consulate Appreciation Luncheon hosted by the CoreCivic, in conjunction with the Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Removal Operations (ICE/ERO) at the Otay Mesa Detention Center in San Diego, California on 16 July.

A tour of the detention facility followed the luncheon where the Consulate General’s representatives were allowed to conduct a jail visit to all Filipinos currently detained at said detention facility. The Consulate General and the Honorary Consulate in San Diego met and spoke with all the incarcerated Filipinos to ensure the latter’s condition, as well as to extend appropriate assistance to them.
