Honolulu International Night 2014

24 March 2014 - Officials from the Philippine Consulate General in Honolulu attended the International Night 2014 organized by the International Student Association at the University of Hawaii (UH) at Manoa on  March 15. The event was attended by members of the Consular Corps of Hawaii.

This year’s theme, “A Voyage Through Paradise,” presented the array of cultures represented at the University of Hawaii. The event featured cultural booths and stage performances. The purpose of the annual event is to encourage inter-cultural understanding and to celebrate Hawaii’s cultural diversity.

The International Student Association (ISA) is a registered independent student organization at UH Manoa, sponsored by UH’s International Student Services. The goals of ISA include: promoting global friendships and helping international students adjust to life in Hawaii. About 700 guests attended the event. The Consulate officials also took the opportunity to donate to the Hawaii Food Bank. END
