JAKARTA 09 August 2019 — The Philippine Embassy in Jakarta hosted the Presidential Communications Operations Office’s (PCOO) Press Freedom Caravan on 24 July 2019 at the  Embassy’s Multipurpose Hall.

PCOO Secretary Jose Ruperto Martin M. Andanar and other top PCOO officials discussed the Duterte Administration's Freedom of Information (FOI) Program for media and overseas Filipino workers. PCOO also discussed the efforts of the Presidential Task Force on Media Security (PTOFMS) to ensure the safety of media professionals, the Philippine Government’s anti-illegal drugs campaign through RehabiNasyon, as well as the various plans, programs, and policies of the PCOO.

RehabiNasyon is the Philippine government’s overall program against illegal drugs, encompassing enforcement, justice, rehabilitation, reintegration and advocacy that focuses on the rehabilitation of drug users.

The event was attended by members of the Filipino community and Indonesian media. END
