PH Fashion House Eyes Saudi Arabia for its Overseas Market Expansion
Consul General to Jeddah Edgar B. Badajos (center) received the representatives of Golden ABC - the fashion house behind Penshoppe, Oxygen, For Me, Memo, Regatta, and Tyler - in a courtesy call on 30 July 2019.
During the call Director for International Sales John Paul Rada (rightmost) and International Sales Operations Manager Jaypee Anthony Uy (second from left) informed Consul General Badajos of the company’s plans to expand its presence overseas, including Saudi Arabia by partnering with possible franchisees. They added that the company is open to other business arrangements including joint ventures with interested parties.
Consul General Badajos assured the company of the Consulate General’s support in their bid to expand their business presence in Saudi Arabia.
From its humble beginnings in the Philippines in 1986, with just one store and a handful of employees, Golden ABC has opened more than 900 stores and has likewise established its presence in Indonesia, Cambodia, Vietnam, Myanmar, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand, Brunei, Macau, and Bahrain.
