NEW YORK 30 July 2019 — “Bucket List Trek,” an exhibit of waterfalls and landscapes of the Philippines by photographer Raul Tangco, was unveiled on 15 July 2019 at the lobby of the Philippine Center.
Family and friends of Mr. Tangco, including members of the Camera Club of the Philippines, graced the occasion.
Mr. Tangco’ first solo photo exhibit features enchanting landscapes and waterfalls that are often the subject of Philippine folklore, such as Hulugan Falls, Kawasan Falls, and Asik-Asik Falls. Mr. Tangco regaled the audience with the arduous journey he had to take to capture these photographs - from horse-back riding and paddling a boat to trekking precarious steps.
During her welcome remarks Philippine Consulate General in New York Vice Consul Tanya Faye O. Ramiro, who concurrently serves as Assistant Manager of the Philippine Center, congratulated and thanked Mr. Tangco for promoting Philippine tourism through the exhibit.
With the Philippine Center receiving an average of 300 visitors a day, Vice Consul Ramiro said that the exhibit will inspire many visitors to take a trip to the Philippines, and see these natural wonders for themselves. END
