LOS ANGELES 30 June 2019 — Executives from Palace Entertainment, a United States-based entertainment and amusement company, called on Consul General in Los Angeles Adelio Angelito S. Cruz on 26 June 2019.
The delegation was led by its Filipino-American Vice President for Food and Beverage Albert L. Cabuco. Also in attendance was Maxx Promos Chief Executive/Producer Mutch Cariño.
Palace Entertainment, which has its headquarters in Newport Beach in California, is one the largest operators of water parks, theme parks, and family entertainment centers in the U.S. It currently operates 37 properties in 11 states, including two of America's most historic and treasured amusement park—Kennywood Park in Pennsylvania and Lake Compounce in Connecticut.
During the call, Mr. Cabuco briefed Consul General Cruz on the properties operated and owned by Palace Entertainment, as well as on the employment opportunities being offered by their company, which young Filipino-Americans may avail of, especially during the summer season.
Mr. Cariño, on the other hand, invited the Consulate General to the Filipino community event dubbed “Fil-American Fun-Fest,” which will be held at Raging Waters in San Dimas, one of Palace Entertainment’s properties, on 14 September 2019.
According to Mr. Cariño, the Fun-Fest, which his company Maxx Promos is producing in cooperation with Palace Entertainment, is expected to provide a venue for the community to come together and renew its ties.
A variety show featuring Ms. Geneva Cruz and other Filipino-American entertainers, as well as food trucks of Filipino-American restaurateurs will also be in place to make the day-long event even more festive. END
