PH Ambassador to Chile Presents Credential to Chilean President

Ambassador to Chile Ma. Teresita C. Daza and Chilean President Sebastian Piñera

SANTIAGO 20 August 2019 — Ambassador to Chile Ma. Teresita C. Daza presented her credentials as the country’s envoy to Chilean President Sebastian Piñera at the Palacio de La Moneda or Presidential Palace on 13 August 2019.

The ceremony for the presentation included the review of troops, the actual presentation of Letter of Credence to President Piñera, the formal introduction of the Ambassador and her delegation, a private audience with the Chilean President and the Foreign Minister and the Palace Honor rites when the Philippine National Anthem was played.

The Ambassadors of New Zealand, Columbia, Mexico, Costa Rica, and Indonesia also presented their credentials on the same date.

The Philippines and Chile established diplomatic relations on 02 July 1946. Apart from Chile, the Philippine Embassy in Santiago also has jurisdiction over Ecuador and Peru. END
