OFWs From Different Professions Take 2019 Special Professional Licensure Exams

JEDDAH 28 August 2019 – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) in cooperation with the Philippine Professional Organization – Western Region Saudi Arabia (PPO-WRSA) Chapter and the Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah administered the 2019 Special Professional Licensure Exams (SPLE) for qualified overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) from 12-14 August 2019 in Jeddah.

A total of 824 OFWs sat for the examinations, which covered 20 professions: Architects, Certified Public Accountants, Civil Engineers, Dentists, Electronics Engineers, Electronics Technicians, Environmental Planners, Mechanical Engineers, Nurses, Physical Therapists, Professional Teachers, Radiologic Technologists, Electrical Engineers, Master Electricians and Respiratory Therapists. The highest number of examinees come from the nursing profession with 501 examinees.

Philippine Overseas Labor Office-Jeddah spearheaded the preparations and conduct of the SPLE in Jeddah.
