GOTHENBURG 29 August 2019 – The Philippine Embassy in Oslo joined the Department of Tourism (DOT) in celebrating Filipino culture and tourism at the Gothenburg Culture Festival on 06 to 11 August 2019.
Spearheaded by DOT London Tourism Attaché Gerard Panga, the participation of the Philippines is part of DOT’s campaign to entice the Swedes to visit the Philippines.
The Philippine booth presented Philippine dances, games and tourist information. Embassy Deputy Chief of Mission and Consul General Maria Elena P. Algabre and Third Secretary and Vice Consul Josel Mostajo joined the DOT team in giving information on the Philippines.
Gothenburg is Sweden’s second largest city where the streets are transformed into festival stages and visitors enjoy a vast range of cultural experiences: opera, art, music, street performances, craft work, theatre, literature and film. END
