PH Embassy in Riyadh Hosts TESDA Programs and Services for OFWs

RIYADH 15 August 2019 — The Philippine Embassy in Riyadh hosted a delegation from the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) led by Executive Director Maria Susan P. Dela Rama on 08 to 12 August 2019.
The delegation conducted an onsite competency assessment for select Riyadh-based Filipino organizations who are conducting skills training for Filipino workers in the Kingdom.
On 11 August 2019, Executive Director Dela Rama, together with Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Adnan V. Alonto and other Embassy officials met with the representatives of the Filipino community at the Embassy Chancery to discuss TESDA’s programs and services for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).
The TESDA programs include the TESDA Onsite Assessment Program, TESDA Overseas Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Program Registration, Accreditation of Overseas Assessment Centers and Competency Assessors, Scholarship Programs for Returning OFWS and/or dependents, Free Assessment for Returning OFWs and the presence of TESDA Malasakit Desks at Philippine airports.
