PH Embassy Renders Consular Services in Istanbul, Attends Filipino Community in Turkey Sports Fest Finals 2019

INSTANBUL 02 September 2019 — A team from the Philippine Embassy in Ankara served over 200 Filipinos in Istanbul, Turkey on 24 August 2019.
The team rendered 115 ePassport services (58 passports renewed, 54 passports released and three passports extended), 21 Embassy IDs (13 Embassy ID applications and eight Embassy IDs released), 22 notarizations, five civil registrations (two Reports of Birth, tow Reports of Marriage and one Legal Capacity to Contract Marriage) and four NBI applications.
The Embassy also attended the volleyball and basketball championship matches at the closing day of the Filipino Community in Turkey (FCT) Sports Fest on 25 August 2019.
Ambassador to Turkey Raul S. Hernandez joined the FCT Sports Fest Committee in handing out individual and team awards at the closing ceremonies. The Embassy fielded a team and played an exhibition game against a selection of players from Istanbul-based Filipino basketball teams, which the Embassy won, 79-59.
The Embassy also awarded certificates of recognition to seven graduating Filipino scholars before the nearly 400 kababayans present for their academic achievements in earning post-graduate degrees in various fields. END
