PH Embassy in Yangon Participates in ASEAN Fabric Exhibit 2019

YANGON 02 September 2019 — The Philippine Embassy in Yangon, together with the other ASEAN Missions in Yangon and the Myanmar Ministry of Foreign Affairs, organized the ASEAN Fabric Exhibit 2019 with the theme “Colourful Threads, Diverse Patterns, One ASEAN” held from 12 to 18 August 2019 at Junction City Mall.

The event showcases the diversity of ASEAN cultures by exhibiting traditional costumes and textiles from each ASEAN member state in line with the celebration of ASEAN Cultural Year 2019.

Present during the opening ceremony on 12 August 2019 were Ambassador to Myanmar Eduardo E. Kapunan, Myanmar Union Minister for International Cooperation U Kyaw Tin, Brunei Ambassador to Myanmar and Dean of the Diplomatic Corps Pehin Dato Rahmani Dato Basir, as well as the other ASEAN Ambassadors and their spouses, officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassadors and diplomats from other diplomatic missions in Yangon, and other invited guests.
