PH joins ASEAN Friendship Concert 2019 in Bangkok
In celebration of Thailand’s ASEAN Chairmanship and the declaration of 2019 as ASEAN Cultural Year, the Thai Government Public Relations Department sponsored and organized a musical cultural event entitled: “ASEAN Friendship Concert 2019: Singing Together for Stronger Partnership” and invited artist from the ASEAN member states to perform on 03 August 2019 at the King Power Downtown Complex in Soi Rangnam, Bangkok.
Filipino young artist Melky Arboleda represented the Philippines and impressed the guests with his powerful voice. Mr. Arboleda was a semi-finalist in the ASEAN Voice of Vietnam 2017 Contest in Hanoi, and has won gold in the Opera Category, silver in the Broadway Category and bronze in the Rock Category in the 20th Annual World Championships of Performing Arts 2016 in Long Beach, California.
