PH Embassy to Vietnam Attends ASEAN Day Celebration

HANOI 15 August 2019 — In celebration of the 52nd ASEAN Anniversary, the Philippine Embassy in Hanoi Chargé d' Affaires (CDA), a.i. Paul Vincent L. Uy participated in the ASEAN flag raising rites held at Vietnam's Ministry of Foreign Affairs on 08 August 2019.
The ceremony at the Ministry is an annual event attended by all Ambassadors of the ten member states.
“Our community has grown in all dimensions with sustainability. The cohesive and strong ties among member States have allowed us to be effectively responsive to the challenges of the new era,” Vietnam’s Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Quoc Dung said in his message of appreciation.
Deputy Quoc Dung expressed his hope that in the near future, especially in 2020 when Vietnam assumes the ASEAN Chairmanship, the country would receive continued support and cooperation of all ASEAN friends and other regional and international partner so as to make even greater contributions to building a peaceful, stable, prosperous, people-centered and people-oriented ASEAN Community.
