PH Ambassador to Turkey Calls On Combat Vehicle, Weapon Systems Manufacturer

ANKARA 11 August 2019 —Ambassador to Turkey Raul S. Hernandez and other Philippine Embassy in Ankara officers met with officials of FNSS Savunma Sistemleri A.Ş. (FNSS), a private defense company, in a visit to the company’s facilities in Ankara on 02 August 2019.

FNSS is a leading manufacturer of tracked and wheeled armored vehicles and weapon systems. It is a joint venture company between Turkey’s Nurol Holding Inc and United States’ BAE System Inc.

The company’s General Manager and Chief Executive Officer J. Nail Kurt presented their current activities in the Philippines, including efforts towards possible tenders for the second phase of the Armed Forces of the Philippines modernization dubbed as Horizon-2, which was approved by President Rodrigo R. Duterte in 2018 with funds of US$5.6 billion from 2018-2022. END
