PH Wushu Athletes Visit PH Embassy in Brunei
BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN 12 September 2019 – A contingent of young Filipino wushu athletes paid a call on Ambassador to Brunei Christopher B. Montero on 20 August 2019, ahead of their participation in the 10th Asian Junior Wushu Championship 2019 in Brunei.
The four junior wushu athletes expressed their desire to bring honor for the Philippines in the five-day competition. The team won their first silver medal on the first day of the competition.
The young athletes were joined by Philippine Olympic Committee Board Member Julian G. Camacho and their coaches.
Around 398 athletes and officials from 16 countries and regions were in Brunei for the 10th Asian Junior Wushu Championships held on 16-24 August 2019 at the National Indoor Stadium of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Bandar Seri Begawan. END
