PH Embassy in Ankara Meets with Union of Chambers, Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

ANKARA 12 September 2019 – Ambassador to Turkey Raul S. Hernandez met with The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) president Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu at TOBB headquarters on 28 August 2019.

Ambassador Hernandez and Mr. Hisarcıklıoğlu discussed ways to forge stronger economic linkages between the Philippines and Turkey. The Ambassador Hernandez also briefed the TOBB president on mutual areas of interest between the two counties including tourism and defense ties, as well as Turkey’s involvement in the Mindanao Peace Process.

TOBB is the umbrella organization of all local chambers of commerce, industry, maritime and commodity exchanges in Turkey. It is the highest legal entity representing the private sector in the country with 365 chambers and commodity exchanges. TOBB membership numbers around 1.5 million companies. END
