PH Ambassador to UK Briefs Annual General Meeting of the All Party Parliamentary Group on the PH

LONDON 17 September 2019 – Ambassador to the United Kingdom Antonio M. Lagdameo attended the Annual General Meeting of the All Party Parliamentary Group on the Philippines (APPG-PH) on 04 September 2019 at Portcullis House, Westminster, upon the invitation of APPG-PH chair Sir David Amess, MP.

During the meeting, Ambassador Lagdameo gave a briefing on the Philippines-United Kingdom bilateral relations, including the forthcoming Philippines-United Kingdom High-Level Meeting scheduled in November 2019. Ambassador Lagdameo also apprised the APPG-PH of recent domestic developments in the Philippines and some of the country’s latest regional and multilateral engagements.

Ambassador Lagdameo and Sir David discussed ways to promote close inter-parliamentary relations between Philippine and British legislators, beginning with the establishment of a Philippine-United Kingdom Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group. END
