PH Consulate General in Honolulu Receives US Congressman

HONOLULU 02 September 2019 United States Congressman Ed Case, who represents Hawaii’s First Congressional District, paid a courtesy call on Consul General to Honolulu Joselito A. Jimeno at the Philippine Consulate General in Honolulu on 22 August 2019.   

Consul General Jimeno and Congressman Case discussed issues of common concern to the Philippines and the United States as well as matters concerning the Filipino community in Hawaii. 

The First Congressional District of Hawaii encompasses the urban areas of the City and County of Honolulu, a consolidated city-county that includes Oahu’s central plains and Southern Shores including the towns of Aiea, Mililani, Pearl City, Waipahu, and Waimalu.  It is the congressional district with the most number of Filipinos in the U.S. 

Congressman Case works closely with Filipino-Americans in his current capacity and previously as representative of Hawaii’s Second Congressional District, which encompasses the rest of the state, from 2002 to 2007, and as Hawaii State Representative from 1994 to 2002.    

Also, present at the call were Deputy Consul General Angelica C. Escalona, Consul Grace Anne G. Bulos, Vice Consul Andrea Christina Q. Caymo, District Director Jacqueline Conant, and Nestor Garcia of the Office of Congressman Case. END
