 PH Embassy Holds Outreach Mission in Newfoundland, Labrador

OTTAWA 02 September 2019 — To provide consular services to Filipinos under its jurisdiction, the Philippine Embassy in Ottawa conducted an outreach mission in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Happy Valley-Goose Bay, Labrador on 23 to 25 August 2019.

A total of 185 consular services were processed and oath-taking of Filipinos who reacquired Filipino citizenship was also held at the outreach venues.

Embassy Minister and Consul General Alan Deniega headed the team that was composed of Noel E. Sancon, Rosalie Gonsalves, Anginel Conchas, Aisha Turingan, and Josephine Gonato. The team was assisted by Honorary Consul General Hazel Alpuerto in Newfoundland, and by the newly formed Filipino association in Happy Valley - Goose Bay, Labrador.

Assistance-to-nationals consultations and briefings were made with the community, along with the promotion of the upcoming Winter Escapade 7. END
