PH Embassy in Cairo Organizes Concert to Build Cultural Ties
The Philippine Embassy in Cairo, led by Ambassador to Egypt Sulpicio M. Confiado (in barong tagalog) and in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs-Office of the Assistant Foreign Minister for International Cultural Relations, the Ministry of Culture Office of the External Cultural Relations and the Cairo Opera House, organized “An Evening of Filipino Classical Music” at the Cairo Opera House on 20 October 2019 featuring the Manila Piano Trio to build cultural ties.
The concert was forged through a series of meetings with First Undersecretary and Head of the External Cultural Relations of the Ministry of Culture Dr. Heba Youssef (top, left) on 29 July 2019, Assistant Foreign Minister for International Cultural Relations Ambassador Mahmoud Talaat (top, right) on 19 August 2019, Dean of the Faculty of Music Education of Helwan University Professor Karam Malek Kamel (bottom, left) on 12 September 2019, and Director of the Arab Music Institute Mahmoud Afify (bottom, right) last 25 August 2019.
