A dialogue with members of the Filipino community in Florence and the Tuscany region was also held on 14 September 2019.

On 15 September 2019, several members of the consular outreach team visited a Filipino, who suffered from a stroke, in the hospital where he was being treated. The team assessed his condition to report the same to his relatives in the Philippines and likewise captured his biometrics to facilitate his application for passport renewal. This is part of the Embassy’s assistance to nationals program, consistent with the Philippine foreign policy on the protection of the rights and promotion of the welfare of overseas Filipinos.

This is the second consular outreach mission conducted by the Embassy in Florence this year. END
