PH Embassy in Yangon Ladies Co-Organize Myanmar-ASEAN Women’s Friendship Association Fund-Raising, Charity Bazaar

YANGON 30 September 2019 – The ladies of the Philippine Embassy in Yangon led by Madame Elsa A. Kapunan, spouse of Ambassador to Myanmar Eduardo E. Kapunan Jr., co-organized the Myanmar-ASEAN Women’s Friendship Association (MAWFA) Fund-Raising and Charity Bazaar held on 14 to 15 September 2019 at the Yangon Convention Center.
The Philippine booth displayed Filipino products and food such as bibingka, leche-puto, kutsinta, Purefoods corned beef, gugo and Oishi products.
MAWFA is an organization whose aim is to promote ASEAN cultures in Myanmar, and to build friendship between the different ASEAN nations through meaningful projects to contribute to the Myanmar people and country.
All proceeds from the Bazaar were donated to "Safe House" and "Sharing Love Charity", two organizations that help the single mothers and educate the street children of Myanmar. END
