PH Consulate General in Hawaii Organizes Networking Event for Young Filipino Professionals

HONOLULU 02 September 2019 – The Philippine Consulate General in Honolulu organized a Sunset and Fireworks Cruise for Filipino-American young professionals on 23 August 2019 in Honolulu.
This event is part of the Consulate General’s ongoing initiative to engage second and third generation Filipino-Americans.
More than 20 people participated in the mixer including two Hawaii-based alumni of the Filipino Young Leaders Program (FYLPRO). It is hoped that through events like this, young Filipino-Americans will have a chance to connect with each other, know more about their cultural heritage, and become more involved in activities that benefit the overall Filipino community.
The Consulate General has also partnered with the Filipino Junior Chamber (FJC) and FYLPRO in organizing a Business Networking Breakfast on 29 August 2019 at the Waikele Country Club Restaurant.
Filipino-Americans young professionals and entrepreneurs had the chance to share their business ideas and ventures and learned from invited mentors who have found success in their own businesses and professions. END
