PH Ambassador, Australian Officials Discuss PH-AU Relations’ 75th Anniv Preparations

De La Vega (left) called on Deputy Speaker Kevin Hogan MP on 18 September 2019 at Parliament House, Canberra to discuss opportunities to support further parliamentary exchanges between the Philippines and Australia, given the importance of the bilateral relationship and in preparation for the celebration of the 75th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between the Philippines and Australia in 2021.

Ambassador De La Vega (left) also called on Mr. David Smith MP that same day, where she expressed appreciation for Mr. Smith’s support for the Filipino Language School in Canberra noting its importance in promoting Filipino language and culture to the next generations of Filipino-Australians. Ambassador De La Vega and Mr. Smith agreed to work together for a meaningful celebration of the 75th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between the Philippines and Australia in 2021.
