GREENLAND 04 October 2019 – The Philippine Embassy in Copenhagen, led by Third Secretary and Vice Consul Al-Bari B. Macalawan, conducted a consular outreach program in Nuuk, Greenland on 07-08 September 2019.

The consular outreach was held in Café Wok, a restaurant owned by a Danish employer who employs 80 Filipinos for his restaurants, grocery stores, and cleaning agency on the island.

A total of 86 passport applications,four Reports of Birth, and one document for notarization were processed by the team during the two-day outreach.

The consular team was assisted by the members of the Filipino community in Nuuk, Greenland led by Menerisa Catalan and Rosalie Acita, who helped in the logistical arrangements of the outreach and the meet-and-greet after.

Greenland is the world’s largest island which is located between the Arctic and Atlantic Oceans, east of the Canadian Arctic  Archipelago. It is an autonomous territory within the Kingdom of Denmark with more than 200 Filipinos living and working in the area.

The last consular outreach in Nuuk, Greenland was conducted in November 2017 by the Philippine Embassy in Oslo. END
