PH Embassy Joins World Cleanup Day Activity in Bahrain
PHOTO: The Philippine Embassy in Manama participated in the World Cleanup Day activity on 21 September 2019 at Al Najma Beach in Juffair, Manama. The cleanup initiative in the 12 beaches in the Kingdo was organized by Clean-up Bahrain. The campaign sought to raise awareness in the Kingdom on the reduction of waste in beaches in Bahrain.
A total of 1,752 volunteers from different sectors, including hundreds from the Filipino Community in Bahrain, collected 8,710 kilos of plastic and other waste materials.
The cleanup campaign was under the patronage of Capital Governor Shaik Hisam bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa.
