PH Embassy in Dhaka Holds Appreciation Ceremony, ATN and Consular Service Briefing

 The Philippine Embassy in Dhaka, led by Ambassador to Bangladesh and Non-Resident Ambassador to Maldives Vicente Vivencio T. Bandillo (second from left), conferred plaques of appreciation to three Maldivians and two Filipinos on 13 September 2019 at the Philippine Honorary Consulate in Malé for their valuable support to the Embassy’s and Consulate’s activities and affairs.

 Awardees were Ministry of Foreign Affairs Director Lauza Ali, Maldives Immigration Head of Expat Monitoring Group Abdul Rasheed, Labour Relations Authority Legal Officer Mariyam Saahath, and Overseas Filipino community leaders Elvira A. Famisan and Judith E. Mallari. The Embassy appreciated their assistance in repatriation cases, looking after Filipino’s welfare, and for their support in the Embassy and Consulate’s activities. The Embassy in coordination with the Philippine Honorary Consulate in Malé also conducted its first-ever briefing on consular and assistance to nationals (ATN) matters with the Filipino community in Maldives. The Embassy officers and staff answered inquiries raised on authentication of employment documents, the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration’s (POEA) guidelines on Overseas Employment Certificate, as well as proper filing of cases and complaints among others.
