PH Embassy in Canberra Conducts Post Arrival Orientation Seminar for Filipino Students

PHOTO: The Philippine Embassy in Canberra and the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO), with the support of the Filipino Australian Health Professionals Inc. (FAHPi), held a Post Arrival Orientation Seminar (PAOS) for Filipino students on 21 September 2019 at the Embassy.

Filipino students completing their studies in various Canberra-based universities and colleges attended the three-hour seminar, which provides practical advice on how to make a stay in Australia as productive and fulfilling as possible.

The said PAOS is the second of its kind organized to address the needs of Filipino students.

The Philippines belongs in the top 20 sources of international students in Australia, with 9,835 Filipinos studying in Australia as of February 2019. There were 6,674 Filipino students in Australia at the same time last year. (Canberra PE photo)
