PH Consulate General in Toronto Conducts Consular Outreach Missions in Leamington, Windsor

PHOTO: The Philippine Consulate General in Toronto extended its consular services to the Filipino communities in the municipality of Leamington on 21 September 2019 and in the city of Windsor, Ontario, on 22 September 2019.

A total of 204 consular services were rendered during the outreach programs, including the processing of 121 e-passport applications, 49 notarial, and nine dual citizenship applications.

The consular team, headed by Consul Edwin Gil Mendoza, was joined by the representatives of the Toronto-based Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO), Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), Social Security System (SSS) and Pag-IBIG.

The officers and members of the Windsor Filipino Community Centre, led by its president Milo Santos, provided valuable assistance in the Windsor leg of the outreach program.

A municipality in Essex, Ontario, Leamington is considered the “Tomato Capital of Canada.” Several Filipino workers are employed in Leamington’s agriculture sector.

On the other hand, Windsor City is located in southwestern Ontario and is known as the “Automotive Capital of Canada.” Windsor is situated on the left bank of the Detroit River, directly across Detroit, Michigan. (Toronto PCG photo)
