North Sulawesi Travel Agencies Participated in Tourism Meeting, Familiarization Tour in Davao City

MANADO 10 October 2019 — An association of travel agencies in Manado is the recipient of the Tourism Business Meeting, Tour Package Workshop, and Familiarization Tour organized by the Department of Tourism of Davao City from 27 to 29 September 2019 in Davao City.

Consul General to Manado Oscar G. Orcine welcomed members of the Association of Travel Agencies (ASITA) in Manado, who joined the Garuda Indonesia inaugural flight from Manado to Davao on 27 September 2019. ASITA was composed of 10 travel agencies headed by North Sulawesi Tourism Agency Head Daniel Mewengkang.

The Indonesian delegation expressed their appreciation to the Philippine Government’s hospitality and accommodation, enabling them to visit the Samal Island, Talikud Island, Malagos Garden, Philippine Eagle, and the famous Apo ni Lola store in Davao City.

According to ASITA, the air connectivity between Manado and Davao is expected to spur tourist arrivals in Mindanao and facilitate business-to-business engagements, thereby promoting tourism and trade between Davao and Manado. END
