PH Consulate General in Dubai, Dubai Police Host a Community Forum

DUBAI 12 August 2019 – The Philippine Consulate General in Dubai, in partnership with Dubai Police, hosted a community forum for the Filipino community on 03 August 2019 at the Dubai Police Officers Club.
Dubai Police Deputy Director Colonel Mohammad Akeel Ahli emphasized that cooperation and tolerance among different communities will pave the way in making Dubai one of the safest cities by 2021. He also highlighted that Dubai Police can be easily reached through various channels of communication to better serve and preserve the security and happiness of the community.
Consul General to Dubai Paul Raymund Cortes welcomed the continuous collaboration between the Philippine Consulate and the police authorities in disseminating information about United Arab Emirates laws to the Filipino migrant community in Dubai.
Several police officials were present to discuss and answer questions regarding laws, rules and regulations on road safety, cybercrime, narcotics, child abuse, and Dubai Police programs and initiatives, including its Smart Police Stations, which are integrated interactive self-service police stations set up in key areas in Dubai.
The Consulate General held a similar community forum in partnership with Dubai Police on 19 August 2019. END
