Filipino Culture Showcased at the Oslo’s Eras Festival

OSLO 30 August 2019 — Filipino culture was proudly represented at the annual Eras Festival in Oslo on 25 August 2019, with Filipino entrepreneurs selling Filipino food.
Ambassador to Norway Jocelyn Batoon-Garcia expressed her appreciation for the Filipinos who who took part in the multicultural festival.
Since 2008, the Eras Festival has been a celebration of the cultural diversity in Norway, presented through colourful parades, international cuisines, and traditional performances showcased at the Oslo City Hall.
The Eras Festival is organized by ERAS, an association of non-profit and voluntary immigrant organizations in Norway, in cooperation with the Oslo City government.
ERAS contributes to understanding between ethnic Norwegians and immigrants and among immigrants themselves, and aims to create bridges across different cultures, religions, nationalities, and ethnicities, according to its website. END
