ASEAN Committee in Stockholm Marks ASEAN Day

PHOTO: Non-resident Philippine Ambassador to Sweden Jocelyn Batoon-Garcia joined the ASEAN Committee in Stockholm (ACS), composed of the embassies of Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Thailand, and Viet Nam in Sweden, in marking the 52nd ASEAN Day with a reception at the Embassy of Malaysia in Sweden on 08 August 2019.

Lao PDR Ambassador to Sweden and ACS Chair Bounpheng Saykanya and State Secretary to the Prime Minister of Sweden Karin Wallensteen delivered messages.

Guests were treated with Southeast Asian fare, including some Filipino treats like ensaymada and maja blanca. The Philippines’ participation in the reception was made possible through the assistance of the Philippine Trade and Investment Center (PTIC) in Stockholm.
