PH Consul General to Chicago Joins 29th Anniversary of Filipino-American Seniors Association of DuPage County

CHICAGO 15 October 2019 — Philippine Consul General Gina A. Jamoralin graced the 29th Anniversary of Filipino-American Seniors Association of DuPage County (FASADP) on 13 September 2019 at the Vinuti’s Banquets, Illinois.
In her inspirational message, Ambassador Jamoralin encouraged the Filipino-American community leaders to support the second U.S. Midwest Youth Leaders in Diaspora (YouLeaD) Immersion Program, a joint project with the Commission on Filipinos Overseas that helps young Fil-Am leaders discover their roots and embrace their heritage as part of their unique identity. She also invited everyone to join the kick-off ceremony of Filipino American History Month (FAHM) on 03 October 2019 with the screening of the award-winning Filipino film “Signal Rock” directed by Director Chito Roño, and the upcoming 2nd Paskuhan sa Chicago planning meetings.
The highlights of the event were the royal walk of FASADP 2017-2019 Mrs. Marilyn Liwanag, and the entrance of FASADP Mrs. DuPage Lualhati Mast, FASADP Mrs. Illinois Catalina Maranion, and FASADP Mrs. Philippines Nell Frias, The celebration ended with the awarding of trophy, bouquet, pinning of sashes, and coronation of muses.
