FilCom in Myanmar Elects New Officers

YANGON 17 October 2019 — Pilipinas.MM, the Filipino community organization in Myanmar, held the election of its new officers on 06 October 2019 at the Philippine Embassy grounds. The officers-elect are Paterno G. Alpajora for President, Joy C. Gospodinov for Vice President, Ravelth C. Belicena for Secretary, Elsie P. Baldosano for Treasurer, and Julius V. Sablaon for Auditor.

The program was formally opened by outgoing Vice President Alain Hendri Arnado, followed by a report on the organization’s current financial status by outgoing Pilipinas.MM President Renato Bates

After the proclamation of the winners, Chargé d’ Affaires, a.i. Jan Michael B. Gomez administered the oath-taking ceremony of the newly-elected officers. A total of 277 Filipinos participated in the elections, including 40 Filipinos in a separate gathering in Mandalay.

During the elections, the Embassy also provided consular services, such as renewal of passports, registration, distribution of Embassy IDs, and authentication of documents to Filipinos who attended the event. END
