PH Consul General in Xiamen Welcomes 2nd PH-Fujian Youth Exchange Program Participants

XIAMEN 17 October 2019 – Consul General to Xiamen Julius Caesar A. Flores welcomed a delegation of Filipino students and teachers and their Fujian counterparts in the 2nd Philippine-Fujian Youth Exchange 2019 at the banquet dinner hosted by Jinjiang Municipal People’s Government of Fujian Province Vice Mayor Wang Wenhui on 21 September 2019 at the Fliport Hotel in Jinjiang City.

Selected students from Philippine Normal University (PNU), Manila Times College, University of Cebu, University of Mindanao and University of Southeastern Philippines as well as students from various colleges and universities in Fujian Province participated in the program.

PNU Faculty of Arts and Languages Associate Dean Ma. Jhona B. Acuña led the Philippine delegation.

The Fujian leg is part of the study tour/exchange program organized by the Foreign Affairs Offices (FAO) of Fujian Province and Jinjiang City that included visits to various Fujian historical/cultural sites and schools.

Consul General Flores, in his remarks, welcomed the Philippine participants and expressed appreciation to Vice Mayor Wang for the warm hospitality extended to the student-participants. He also lauded the Fujian and Jinjiang FAOs for its initiatives in organizing the program which enhances exchanges between the Philippines and Fujian. END
