LA UNION 11 October 2019 – In celebration of the 2019 Civil Service Month, the Department of Foreign Affairs - Consular Office (CO) in La Union participated in the La Union Jobs Fair 2019.

The La Union Jobs Fair 2019 is a program of the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU), through the Public Employment Service Office (PESO), in coordination with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) Region I, on 25 September 2019 in San Fernando City.

CO La Union Information Officer Christian Kelvin C. Gonzales attended the activity and assisted the job applicant’s concerns on passport application and other consular matters.

Executive Assistant of the Governor of La Union Justo Orros III represented Governor Emmanuel “Pacoy” Ortega in gracing the event. He reminded the job seekers not to be picky about the job they are about to apply. He also prompted first-time job applicants to learn that the first job is the most important job, which they may use as a weapon in developing their skills.

Further, Director Nathaniel Lacambra of DOLE Region-1 expressed his gratitude for the companies and agencies who participated in the event. Special recognition was cited to the organizers, the Public Employment Service Office (PESO)-La Union and the Civil Service Commission (CSC) Regional Office-1. END
