Philippines, UK Discuss New Developments in PH-UK Relations

WESTMINSTER 11 October 2019 — Ambassador to United Kingdom Antonio M. Lagdameo briefed the members of the All Party Parliamentary Group on the Philippines (APPG-PH) on developments in Philippines-UK relations and the upcoming Philippine-UK High-Level Meeting during the APPG-PH Annual General Meeting on 04 September 2019 at Portcullis House, Westminster.

During the meeting, the Ambassador Lagdameo also updated the APPG-PH on recent domestic developments in the Philippines, including some of the country’s latest regional and multilateral engagements.

Ambassador Lagdameo and APPG PH Chair Sir David Amess MP discussed ways on promoting and strengthening inter-parliamentary relations between Philippine and British legislators, such as the establishment of a Philippines-UK Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group. END
