LUXEMBOURG 11 October 2019 – The Philippine Embassy in Brussels, in cooperation with Philippine Honorary Consul General Alain Kinsch, conducted its third consular outreach mission for 2019 at the Philippine Consulate General in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg on 28 September 2019.
Consul Charles Andrei P. Macaspac led the consular team and officiated the oath-taking ceremony for three dual citizenship applicants from Luxembourg.
A total of 42 Filipinos in Luxembourg, including some from the nearby provinces of Saarland and Rheinland Pfalz in Germany, availed themselves of the consular services, such as passport renewal, applications for reacquisition of Philippine citizenship and civil registration.
The consular missions are part of the Embassy efforts to reach out to the Filipino community in Luxembourg and nearby areas, and help them save on time, effort and resources travelling all the way to Brussels during the regular work week.
Luxembourg is a landlocked country in northwestern Europe surrounded by Belgium, France, and Germany. Despite its small landmass and small population, Luxembourg is the second-wealthiest country in the world when measured on a gross domestic product (PPP) per capita basis.
Most of the more than 500 Filipinos living in Luxembourg are professionals working as auditors, accountants, information technology experts and lawyers in reputable financial institutions. They are held in high regard for their skills and excellent work ethic. END
