Mekeni Norway Spearheads ‘Ascot’ Event for a Cause

Photo: The Philippine Embassy in Oslo joined Mekeni Norway event for a cause on 21 September 2019 at Bekkelaget Menighetssenter, Sandstuveien.

With its main goal to raise funds for its charity projects in the Philippines, and if the necessity arises, for the Filipinos in Oslo, Mekeni Norway hosted an event with the theme “Ascot,” where ladies showcased their colorful hats in all shapes and sizes. A stand-out won the best costume for the night.

With guests lauding the group’s charity works in the different provinces in the Philippines, Charge d’Affaires Maria Elena Algabre gave her inspirational message to the members of Mekeni Norway.  Charge d’Affaires Algabre also officiated the oath-taking of the new set officers and committee heads for 2019-2021. With a very apt motto of “We care, we share”, Mekeni Norway is ably led by its President and Founder Estelita P. Puyat. (Oslo PE photo)
