MassKara Festival Kicks Off Tourism Promotion Among Dutch Travellers to PH

HAGUE 11 October 2019 — In line with the objective of the Department of Tourism, through its Tourism Office in Frankfurt, to promote the Philippines as a premier travel destination among Dutch tourists and stakeholders from its tourism and travel industry sectors, a street dancing of the MassKara Festival (Festival of Smiles) paraded around the key iconic spots and canals of Amsterdam on 28 September 2019.
The Philippine Embassy in The Hague, led by Ambassador to Netherlands Jaime Victor B. Ledda, attended and supported the Festival.
The vibrantly-hued performers of the Philippines Performing Arts Guild, Sindaw, were flown in by Cathay Pacific for a series of performances in Amsterdam’s popular landmarks, namely, Dam Square, Muntplein and Rembrandtplein, including a cruise along Amsterdam’s canal in Amstel. Philippine Honorary Consul General Eppo Horlings and son, Josh Horlings also lent their presence to support the said tourism event. END
